Throughout my junior and senior years at Monmouth University, I have worked with the Office of Student Engagement as a marketing ambassador. Throughout my time in this role, I've had the opportunity to expand the office's efforts and increase student engagement at campus events. My primary tasks include designing flyers for office events, increasing student awareness of campus happenings through our social media presence, and, most recently, helping to promote the school's new app Hawk Hub, which allows students to learn about what is occurring across campus.
Flyer Design
Throughout my time at Monmouth University, I have had the opportunity to work with the Office of Student Engagement to create engaging marketing materials to promote events across campus. For these posters, I wanted to focus on the elements that made the events unique and could easily inform students and faculty on their details. I achieved this through the use of larger text, prominent imagery, and hierarchy of text within the composition.
Social Media Posts
Throughout my time with the office of Student Engagement, I've been in charge of creating posts and managing our social media presence on Instagram (@mu_studentengagement). Primarily, our posts revolve around what is happening on campus, with our posts such as This week at Monmouth, which highlights campus-wide events, on occasion, our posts are to help encourage student morale and for holidays. Since managing the Instagram page, the account has garnered over 200,000 views and 2,000+ interactions.
Hawk Hub
In the fall of 2025, the Office of Student Engagement, along with other organizations on campus, launched Hawk Hub, an application designed for student students to be able to learn about events happening across campus and for the university to track event attendance. My role was to help promote this new app to students and encourage them to download it onto their mobile devices. I achieve this through numerous channels, including our social media platform as well as physical media, such as door hangers, posters, and table tents. As of January 2026, we have over 2000 active users on the app, which accounts for approximately half of our university population.
