MEET KILEY

the person behind the portfolio!

I'm Kiley, a graphic designer, recent Monmouth University graduate, and Jersey girl born and raised. I design for digital, print, and UI/UX, with experience across entertainment, education, finance, politics, and agency work.
What motivates and fuels my creativity is understanding how people interact with information. Before I design anything, I want to know what it's for and who will engage with it, because good design helps someone understand something quickly. Working within a variety of industries and tailoring designs to multiple audiences, I have been able to adjust the tone of my work to fit the target market.
That mindset began in high school. After I ran out of art classes to take, I began contributing to my school's yearbook. It was my time as an editor that introduced me to design and allowed me to use my passions to tell a story, create something meaningful, and make an impact within my school. In college, the problem-solving I'd built as a traditional artist carried naturally into design.
My favorite project so far was a passion project I did creating the app design for Heart To Heart. The app would connect people waiting on the organ and tissue transplant list to mentors to ease their minds and provide support through the waiting process. As a transplant recipient myself, being able to create something that would have helped me as a child was such a full-circle moment and gave me a first-hand account of the impact design can bring.
Outside of design, you'll usually find me with my three dogs, who are always trying to contribute to my creative process, even if that just means they close my laptop and remind me to take a break.
I'm currently open to freelance projects. If you have something in mind, email is the best way to reach me (and my dogs).
