Dialeco is a learning language program designed for students and educators to obtain a customizable curriculum to aid in engaging K-5 children in the culture and dialects of their desired countries. Through the use of comprehensible input, interactive activities, and fun assignments, children can ingrain themselves in their educational material and become stronger in speaking, writing, and listening in another language. I collaborated with the business owner to create engaging branded assets to increase brand awareness throughout the prototyping phase.
My Approach
We wanted to focus on the barrier younger students may have with technology as the website and program being designed for a younger general audience. With this sentiment in mind, we wanted it to have an overall clean layout with a focus on information and the learning elements to reduce distractions and to highlight tasks and assignments. In addition to this minimalist design structure, customizability was another component we strived to highlight. Each page within the program is constructed through the use of modular gridding and consistent spacing and sizing to help promote the simplicity in the structure. This allows for students and educators alike to construct their desired layouts for their uses and allow them to toggle on and off features they feel benefit them most.
Dialeco's branding style and limited color palette illustrate the message of inclusion by implementing a blue and green color scheme to execute the luscious green earth and deep blue ocean. Beyond these color's relations to the earth, the calming nature of these colors help promote a learning environment and complement each other to help create contrast in information and improve legibility of text.
